This took some doing.
1100 metres of climbing over 12 miles from Bike Village HQ in Landry. The final elevation is approx 1800 and it felt like it. Thin air and tired legs, I didn’t even have the energy to eat my lunch!
After this we then spent 8 miles coming down through some of the best single track alpine slopes you could imagine…
Rocky descents, switchback after switchback, steep drops and twisty rooty trails that kept you on your toes (with your heels down obviously!)..
Learnt some new braking techniques, and eventually found my feet and started dropping and hopping over roots and rocks.
Ultimately it’s was a really technical descent and after the long climb and now a few beers i think I will sleep well tonight..
